Building Stewardship Through Internships:  Lessons from Golden Gate National Recreation Area and Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore explores how park internships can create the next generation of actively engaged and informed stewards. These lessons showcase internship programs that have successfully instilled a spirit of stewardship in many of their participants. Park leaders can apply these lessons using the roadmap as a guide to intentionally design internship experiences that create new park advocates.
